RATYAULEE GEET


Its a kind of song which is sing in the particular time of wedding ceremony.  According to Nepali culture the boy (husband) should have to go with some people (called in nepali "JANTI") into the girl's house to bring her as a wife. When the boy goes to the girl's home then the time vacuum is created in boy's home. At that vacuum time some women gather there and start to sing a kind of song that is known as RATYAULEE SONG. In such kind of song they include some unusual words (related to sex and sex organs). And they performed dance according to words of song. At that time there is not allowed to attend the male person. This kind of performance should finish before arriving the boy with her wife.

BHAILEE SONG (BHAILEE GEET)

"TIHAR" is second greatest festival of Nepalese community. Specially Hindu religious people celebrates this festival very importantly. This festival celebrates five days therefore it is called "YAMA PANCHAKA" . In the day second, people worship Goddess Mahalaxmi which is known as god of property. At the evening after completion of worship program, the girls/women are gather and goes to the each and every house of the community then they sing a song and perform dances too. That kind of song is popular in Nepali community as a "BHAILEE GEET". At that moment the house owner gives some money to the group as gift which is called in Nepali "DAXINA"

Performing Dance
The final day of the "TIHAR" Festival is called "VAITIKA".  In this day sisters pray for the brother's long life, progress, happiness etc. Sister presents "TIKA" to the brothers and brothers give to the sisters different gifts as well as money. After that ceremony the gents of the community make a group and they visit the each and every house of the community. In every house they sing a kind of song. That is called "DEUSI SONG". In the group one person lead the performance as a lead vocalist that is called "VATTYAUNE". And other group members follow the lead vocalist in singing similarly some group member perform dances too. At the end of the program each house owner presents money, fruits, and "SEL ROTI" as a gift to the group. "SEL ROTI" is a kind of special bread which has circular shape with a big hole in the center.

DEUDA



"DEUDA SONG" is a representative song of far western region of Nepal. It is sing in group as well as single vocal. Basically in the occasion of "GAURA" such kind of song is performing in group. "GAURA"  is a festival which is celebrate specially those people who are from far western part Nepal. 

TAMANG SELO

"TAMANG" represents a cast of Nepal. It is an indigenous community with own language and culture. Basically In Sindhupalchowk, Kavreplanchok, Dolakha district is the major living place of the tamang community. In this community a kind of song and dance is very popular that is "TAMANG SELO".  This kind of song sings with the rhythm of "DAMPHU". (DAMPHU is a kind of musical instruments made by leather and wood.) Always male plays the DAMPHU and male female both can perform the song by expressing heir different kind of feelings like, love, sorrow etc.

SHORHATHI


"SORATHI" is a kind of folk dance of Nepal. Gurung, Magars, Duras community is traditionally performing this dance. It means that this dance represents Gurung, Magars, Duras community. These are the indigenous community of the Nepal. Basically it is popular in the western part of the Nepal. It is group dance. Songs also performs in group.

GHANTU DANCE

Dancers are preforming "GHANTU DANCE"
"GHANTU" is the typical folk dance of the gurung community of the Nepal. Gurung community are the indigenous community. This dance is performed in group. Basically is popular in western districts of Nepal, like Kaski, Tanahun, Shyangja, Lamjung etc. In this dance only unmarried girls allow to participate as a dancer. Senior person sing song and junior take part in dance. It is known as a complicated dance among traditional dances.

JHYAURE DANCE


"JHYURE" dance represent the western part of the Nepal. In this kind of dance firstly the rhythm and song plays slowly but in second and third round the rhythm and song goes very fast. The dance performer also should perform his/her performance very fast which is very entertaining.  Basically it is the culture of Gurung and Magar communities.
